2023 is going to be H-U-G-E! … follow us and get involved!
With the epic commitments made at the Australian Environment Minister’s meeting in late October 2022, we have renewed hope of creating positive change to fast track living in harmony with nature (by increasing WILD spaces) and more!
Here are a couple of points we are particularly excited about:
- A new national target to protect and conserve 30% of Australia’s land and marine areas by 2030!
- New laws and improved protection for threatened species with a view to achieving zero new extinctions
The Federal Environment Minister, Tanya Plibersek, also sealed her ‘30% x 2030’ commitment at the United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP15) in Montreal, Canada on December 19, along with roughly 190 countries. Have a look here:
